Lady Gaga

Who is Lady Gaga under all that make-up and that wig? Is she just a normal popstar? Or is there more to her than that? Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was born March 28, 1986, in Yonkers, New York. At four years old, she learned how to play the piano, and by 14, she was writing music and playing it at open mic nights. At 17, she attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Art. She studied music and later, got into the music industry. When she hit 19, she signed to Def Jams Records label and 3 months later, she was kicked off. She started to get into drugs and performed at burlesque shows. She claims her father couldn’t look at her and was ashamed of her for months. As time went on, Gaga got more and more popular, and the man who helped her write songs, Rob Fusari, nicknamed her “Gaga,” after comparing her to Freddie Mercury, of Queen, and their hit song “Radio Ga Ga.”

  1. I didn’t know very much about her until now. Things like Gaga’s a nickname and she was into drugs are interesting.
